Counterpoint Tactical System

Brian Brown began training in the Counterpoint Tactical System in 2005 and completed testing requirements for promotion to First Degree Black Belt at the Iron Mountain Instructors Camp in September of 2010. Brian is a first generation student and a Charter Member of Counterpoint Tactical International. From the very beginning Brian hit the ground running and quickly began adjusting to the Counterpoint Training Model. As a dedicated and hardworking student Brian has made significant advancements in his own knowledge and combative skill sets. As a teacher Brain has also been successful in advancing the knowledge and skill sets of students at his Atlanta Martial Arts Club. Brian has been instrumental in building a CTS presence in the Atlanta area. I highly recommend Brian Brown as a martial arts teacher and instructor of the Counterpoint Tactical System.

Sincerely,
Zach Whitson, Founder

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brian has been a student of mine and training partner for over 4 years. He now holds the rank of Purple Belt in BJJ and is rapidly approaching his Brown belt. Brian’s tenacity and willingness to test his skills on a daily basis keep him progressing at a pace that most are not willing to accept. As a teacher Brian continually excells in his ability to break down techniques to the point that the first time player can participate and feel a great deal of accomplishment. Keeping students inspired is a tough job in itself, but Brian’s willingness to put himself in the ring keeps his students fired up to follow their leader. I have no doubt that Brian will attain the rank of Black belt in BJJ and I personally can not wait to tie that belt on him.

I have known Brian for over 10 years. In that time,I have seen him grow as a martial artist/instructor and as a person. He treats you as an individual, because everyone has a different skill set. He gives a lot and expects his students to give all they have in return.
He has a hands on approach to teaching, unlike many instructors I have seen. I highly recommend the Atlanta Martial Arts Club if you want to learn the reality based martial art Counterpoint Tactical System, and I highly recommend Guro Brian Brown as an instructor.

I have known Brian Brown for more than ten years and recommend him highly as an exceptional martial artist and inspiring teacher. Brian firmly believes that the key to success in martial arts is to develop those around you, and that a strong group will build a strong individual. Brian’s commitment to building a team sets high standard for the members of his club resulting in a tremendous learning atmosphere which promotes creativity and incredibly high performance.
Joining the Atlanta Martial Arts Club is one of the best training decisions I have ever made. I am on my way from being simply a practitioner of martial arts to being the sort of martial artist I have always admired and aspired to become. I am tremendously appreciative of Brian Brown for his leadership and guidance on this journey.

My ATLMAC Experience

When I became a member of ATLMAC I had no idea how good it was going to be for my training. Every school out there is ready to make you empty promises about how great there training will be for you but we are different. Because we are a club of friends we are truly dedicated the mutual development of each members skill sets. We follow through with the promise.

I have been with ATLMAC for over 6 years and training martial arts for 12. Including the arts I train at ATLMAC I have studies 7 different arts. What makes this organization different is the training methodology. Through that methodology you find true integration of several styles of arts that help you master all the ranges of combat from close quarter grappling to long range weapons, edged weapons and everything in between. Not only are the ranges worked on but the application of the techniques through the transitions is what has made all the difference in my training.

The short of it is I had trained for 6 years before finding ATLAMC and CTS. If I had stayed on that path I would never have advanced at the rate I am now. My skills have far advanced what you would expect with my time on the matt. Through my dedication to practice and the quality CTS training through ATLMAC I am a better person and martial artist. Don’t just take my word for it come meet us and see the difference.

In my seven years of training as a martial artist I’ve never worked with a better group of people. Brian Brown is a natural leader and teacher. He has built a martial arts club different from anything I’ve ever seen. The people are genuine, talented, and readily accepting.

In places I’ve trained in the past there is always a lot of posturing and chest pounding, you’ll never see that kind of behavior here. This group of individuals is respectiful, confident, poised, and equipped with the skillset and attributes to match.

If you’re looking for a place to push your skills to the next level this is the place. If you’re looking for a place to teach you how to make your martial arts effective on and off the mat, this is the place. If you’re looking for a place to train where you don’t have to worry about some meathead beating on you just because he’s a belt level above you, then your search is over. This. Is. The. Place.
